Drama
A staple for us and for many if you fancy a more traditional play. When we first started Everything Theatre it was specifically to review drama. We’ve branched out over the years, but it will always be a favourite of ours.
-
Comedians, Chelsea Theatre – Review
Brutal, almost dehumanising production that raises more questions about comedy than it is able to answer.
-
How Nigeria Became: A Story and a Spear That Didn’t Work, Unicorn Theatre – Review
A wonderfully performed, colourful family show full of laughter set in historical Nigeria.
-
MilkMilkLemonade, Ovalhouse Theatre – Review
An absurd, comic and touching play about gender and sexuality set in a dusty Midwestern town with plenty of hay and chickens to match.
-
Das Ding, New Diorama Theatre – Review
A compelling basis for a story, sadly this globetrotting play is a little half-baked and a lot preachy.
-
The Trials of Oscar Wilde, Trafalgar Studios – Review
An important and educational piece. It somewhat lacked the panache expected for the stage.
-
Hello Norma Jeane, The King’s Head Theatre – Review
This is a great play, and with a more polished cast and less audience disruptions, it could really be something special.
-
Waiting For Godot, The Cockpit Theatre – Review
“Beckett as Beckett intended” – this is an excellent, enjoyable performance of one of the great plays of the Twentieth Century. If Beckett is on your bucket list, this is a must see.
-
Confirmation, Battersea Arts Centre – Review
A solid and well researched one-man presentation that challenges the way you conceive others.
