Podcast: It’s Bitch Not Witch

The Blair Bitch Project at GrimFest

Having made a brief appearance on our GrimFest Launch Party Special podcast, we invited Finella Waddilove back to chat some more about her show The Blair Bitch Porject, which will be playing at Old Red Lion Theatre from 15 to 18 October. And she even brought along Kathryn Crosby, who shares acting duties with Finella in the show.

We chat about the show, whether there will be an abundance of fake blood, why the play on words in the title, and just why we love horror so much.

The Blair Bitch Project will play at Old Red Lion Theatre 15 to 18 October, tickets available here.

The Blair Bitch Project

A crisp, foggy October morning.

The sound of a light wind rustling leaves high above.

At the mouth of Thetford Forest’s looming pines, awaits an increasingly uneasy Fay.

Fifty six minutes ago should have marked the start of a nurturing, therapeutic hike with ‘best friend’ Kitty. But Kitty is nowhere to be seen…

After a series of texts going to the dreaded ‘one tick’ and countless calls straight to answer, Fay fears something more sinister than Kitty’s scattiness is responsible.

The Blair Bitch Project is a comedy horror which explores the complexities of friendship in adulthood. The play examines how platonic relationships which once flourished, can dwindle, shift and even mutate over time.

What do we do with the ugly, uncomfortable residue of repeated conflict?

Can we move past it and savour a bond?

How can we, if we refuse to address the monster…?

15 – 18 October @ Old Red Lion Theatre. Tickets available here.
