Writer Tom Derrington on bringing his play Bounce to Lion and Unicorn Theatre
Tom Derrington has been entertaining us already this year with his monthly diary, detailing just what a writer gets up to when trying to get his plays on to the stage. You can read his monthly entries here.
Back in March he mentioned that he was hopeful that he would be seeing one of his plays coming to London soon, which would mark his London stage debut. So we were delighted when he confirmed dates had been booked, especially when we heard it was going to be at Lion and Unicorn Theatre, which is always one of our favourite places to visit.
It seemed the perfect time to invite him on to the podcast then to chat about the play, what it’s like asking your mother to be in it, and whether having London dates on your c.v. is a vital step for a playwright.
