Imagine Maria from The Sound of Music coming up with the lyrics to Favourite Things using Twitter. This is kind of like that, except it’s about Favourite Spaces and it’s dancing, instead of singing.

Overall the show felt slightly unpolished, which was a shame as some of the ideas established, alongside the brilliant music, could lend themselves to a very powerful performance.

Some good new writing, but it wasn’t entirely clear why the piece has been revived into the modern day.

Altogether a well-rounded evening in an interesting venue; it felt like an experience rather than just a performance.

A witty, refreshing production on the media’s emphasis on sensation over truth that beautifully combines acting with live music, movement and puppetry.
