Suited, booted, plucked, and tucked

This production does miss the mark of what fans would love to see, but the musical style does have a lot to offer the era. In the places this is fully realised, Gatsby provides glimpses of magic.

The stylish suits and dresses couldn't quite save this production, which fails to make Gatsby great and relies too much on quoting long passages as exposition.

No thrills, no spills. A jazz-era take on a great American classic that left us feeling cold.

While the production provides an enjoyable viewing experience, it being a musical adds nothing to Gatsby as a story.
