Interview: Brighton Fringe – The Artists’ Perspective

Brighton Fringe Festival celebrates its 20th birthday this year, with hundreds of shows of every genre playing at venues across the city from Friday 2 May to Sunday 1 June.

As he prepares to open a show at the festival, writer/director Nick Myles talks to other lunatics egomaniacs creatives about why they’re bringing their work to the bustling “London-on-Sea” to sink or swim in an environment that’s only marginally less competitive than the granddaddy of Fringe Festivals: Edinburgh.

From artistic inspiration to hopes and expectations and the mucky business of finance, hear what seven writers have to say about their artistic babies, from naked Shakespeare to sitcoms.
