Podcast: Vital Lessons on Life and Death at Camden Fringe

Mooski Theatre Company discuss Teach Me About Dying

We first bumped into Anya Hope Birch as part of Act II Festival, where she was an Assosiate Producer. After bending her ear for an hour or so in the bar afterwards, it only seemed fair we should give her the chance to chat back on our podcast.

So that’s how Anya, along with director Henry Roberts and writer Lucy Josephine, who collectively make up Mooski Theatre Company, found themselves as our latest guests, here to tell us all about their Camden Fringe show, Teach Me About Dying. It’s a show that asks that all important question, what would you do if death turned up on your door unexpectedly?

We discuss the show, why Camden Fringe is so important, and just why (or who) Mooski is!

Teach Me About Dying will be playing at Little Angel Theatre 20 – 24 August for Camden Fringe. Further information available here.

Teach Me About Dying

Little Angel Theatre

“I’m only 23, I- I had so much to do. I had so many ideas, so many big plans.”

“What were you doing before I got here?”

“Just up sainsburys.”

On a random Tuesday morning, Ava is confronted with a vision of death in her doorway telling her ‘times up’- the grim reaper is here and there’s nothing she can do about it. Rather than take it lying down, she sweet talks death into giving her an extra six weeks to truly live her life, resulting in them gallivanting around the country, taking joy in the mundane aspects of life and in each other’s company.

Playing as part of Camden Fringe from 20 to 24 August. Further information and tickets available here.
