CAST AND CREATIVE TEAM
Encompass Productions are a London-based theatre and production company. They create bold work that explores the psychological and emotional, telling stories through cinematic, heightened reality to challenge, move and entertain.
Daniel Damiano is an award-winning playwright, award-nominated Actor and published poet based in New York City. His plays have thus far been produced throughout the United States, Australia and now lovely London, England. His play Day of the Dog transferred to NYC’s 59E59 Theatre where it received a second critically-acclaimed run with St. Louis Actors’ Studio, where it was a 2013 Best New Play Nominee for the St. Louis Theatre Circle Award. He is also currently appearing Off-Broadway in the interactive-farce Going Once, Laughing Twice at St. Luke’s Theatre. He is Artistic Director of the newly formed fandango 4 Art House, member of Mind The Gap Theatre Company (which focuses on Brit-based work) and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
Carly Halse is a London-based actor and presenter. Carly is best known as the presenter of the popular children’s dance and movement show Learn to Dance on the channel Tiny Pop. She was one of founding members of OutHouse Collective, an associate company of The Roundhouse, Camden. Formed in 2008, they created new devised work garnering several four star reviews, working with acclaimed directors Jim Pope, Philip Osment, Elgiva Field and Dominic McHale. Carly has also been lucky enough to work extensively with renowned performance artist Marisa Carnesky, most recently in the Time Out’s Critics Choice Tarot Drome at the Old Vic Tunnels. Carly is also the voice behind the exciting range of audio books and interactive ‘bookeos’ for babies and toddlers, Bizzy The Butterfly. Recent theatre credits include What Is Future I? for Pen & Rose Productions, Paper Dolls for A Cat & Mouse Act and The Answer to Life, the Universe and Nothing for Homo Thespianus.
Laurie Harrington is a Nottingham-born actor based in London. A graduate of East 15 Acting School, she is a highly accomplished comedic actor, receiving acclaim from several publications across various productions. Recent credits include Archipelago for 20:20 Vision Camden People’s Theatre, Going Viral for Encompass Productions’ Bare Essentials, Hitchcock Homage for Stage Theatre Company, The Three Rings of The Cirque Tsuki for Immercity and Robin Hood for Bigfoot Arts Education.
Rachael Owens is a London-based director, actor and founding member of Encompass Productions. She was an associate director for their hit surrealist drama What It Feels Like, and co-directed Who Is Moloch? before becoming the company’s associate artistic director. She co-directed their acclaimed Life in a Sketchbook and most recently directed various short plays for Bare Essentials including The Art of Tea, Going Viral and Drink the Kool-Aid. She is the associate director of upcoming Encompass production This is Not a Christmas Play which will be her first venture into co-producing. Other credits include choreographer for Till The Boys Come Home for Spontaneous Productions, and movement director for Deptford Stories for In(ep)trepid. As an actor and singer Rachael will make her West End debut in The Rat Pack Live for Hartshorn-Hook Productions in November 2014.
