Jean Cocteau’s 1928 The Human Voice has had a bit of a renaissance in recent years. During lockdown, Pedro Almodóvar made his first English language movie, a version starring Tilda Swinton. Earlier this year, Ivo van Hove directed Ruth Wilson in a new version at the Pinter Theatre.
