Off West End
Much like fringe theatre, trying to define what Off-WestEnd venue really means is a debate that would take us long into the night. So for our own sanity, we define it as those venues that are slightly bigger than the fringe venues (so roughly 100+ seats), but not the big West End or similar venues that form part of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT). Like fringe venues, Off-WestEnd are eligible for consideration for awards via the Fringe Theatre Awards.

Wild at Heart, Canal Café Theatre – Review
Definitely worth a visit, just to see what it’s all about. This show will leave you wondering what on earth has just happened.

This is a stunning production but at over 3.5 hours long, and in such a hot theatre, it was difficult to stay engaged throughout.

Babes in Arms, Ye Olde Rose and Crown – Review
A brave choice of revival by All Star Productions, but not the best: feels out of place and offers little relevance. Definitely a show for fans of the 1930s musical era.

Fabulously flamboyant, wonderfully witty and above all an absolute smash hit.

Alice In Wonderland, Abney Park -Review
With bubbles, tea parties, hearts and stolen tarts, this show indefinitely represents that they really are all mad here in Wonderland. A fun cast, a fantastic story and an incredible location!
