Drama
A staple for us and for many if you fancy a more traditional play. When we first started Everything Theatre it was specifically to review drama. We’ve branched out over the years, but it will always be a favourite of ours.
-
Glasshouse, Battersea Arts Centre – Review
Meaningful theatre with a strong message that would strongly appeal to young adults - particularly those in vulnerable environments.
-
Hero, Leicester Square Theatre – Review
The makings of a good show are definitely here, but the execution is lacking.
-
The Boy Who Cried, Hope Theatre – Review
A paranormal mystery with some 'bite'!
-
A Hard Rain, Above the Stag Theatre – Review
An interesting production which, with a few tweaks and additions and potentially a little extra length, could easily be taken to a bigger audience.
-
Medea, Riverside Studios – Review
An epic, dramatic ancient tale of the world’s most passionate woman performed with a bit too much passion and drama.
-
Richard III, Blue Elephant Theatre – Review
Feisty women, a touch of Patrick Bateman and lots of puns. It’s a very likeable Shakespeare in a modern jacket...or plastic apron.
-
Affairs, Camden People’s Theatre – Review
The concept and the tale are both interesting and engaging, however the over abundance of literary devices and the lack of real emotion in the delivery of the character left me cold. I simply didn’t believe her.
-
Hobson’s Choice, South London Theatre – Review
Warm-hearted and witty, Hobson’s Choice is a highly entertaining study of 1880s family life.
-
Each of Us, Tristan Bates Theatre
A well written and directed solo comedy about love, friendship and human connection in uncertain times.
