Drama
A staple for us and for many if you fancy a more traditional play. When we first started Everything Theatre it was specifically to review drama. We’ve branched out over the years, but it will always be a favourite of ours.
-
Women of Twilight, Pleasance London – Review
An intelligent revival of a deeply evocative play from the post war era. Highlights some important points in the struggle for women’s rights.
-
Archimedes’ Principle, Park Theatre – Review
A provocative, challenging piece of drama, with real depth and a creative delivery.
-
Good People, Noël Coward Theatre – Review
One of the smartest pieces of writing I’ve ever seen put on stage and so very funny. Fantastic evening out at the theatre.
-
Ah, Wilderness!, London Theatre Workshop – Review
This is a difficult play to pull off for modern audiences, and I am not sure this production quite succeeds.
-
Bunny & Stacy, Horse & Stables – Review
Entertaining interrelated monologues from a night of new writing. There could be potential for more here but currently lacks an X factor.
-
Minotaur, Polka Theatre Wimbledon – Review
A treat for any young person with a vivid imagination.
-
Laqueum, The Rag Factory – Review
An intricate and sometimes disorientating piece of immersive-style theatre that explores the darker side of female suffering and despair.
-
Make Me Happy, Arcola Tent – Review
A thoughtful production devised by promising young actors. Part of a wonderful project to transform young lives through theatre.
-
This Is The Moon, That Is The Earth, The Yard – Review
An interesting and refreshing technical approach to theatre. Full of ideas, images and streams of consciousness, but could do with paring down to two or three of the best concepts on which to elaborate.
