Camden Fringe Q&A

Thank you for your interest in participating in this year’s Camden Fringe Q&As. In 2025, we were thrilled to publish 143 Q&As with festival artists, and we aim to achieve similar success this year.

To make this possible and sustainable, we are introducing a small administration fee of £6 per entry. While Everything Theatre remains committed to being an accessible platform, we must cover the ongoing costs of maintaining a site of this scale. All proceeds will be reinvested into the website and supporting tools, enabling us to explore new ways to further champion fringe theatre moving forward.

Additionally, £1 from every fee will be put in our newly established Emerging Artists Prize. This prize will be awarded as part of our Etties Live event next year to an individual or creative team, helping to fund and develop their work further. To grow this initiative, we will also be contributing 10% of all advertising revenue to the fund throughout the year, as well as asking people and venues to contribute.

Alternatively, we will once again be offering our discounted Camden Fringe Advertising package this year. At just £25 you will receive:

  • 5 Instagram posts
  • 3 Bluesky posts
  • 2 Facebook posts
  • No additional fee for this Q&A

If you are happy to proceed, you’ll find everything you need below, including

  • Hints and tips on how to make your Q&A a better read

The Question Sheet

We highly recommend you download the question sheet via the below link. You can then take your time to decide which questions you wish to answer, and compete them on the sheet ready to submit them via our online submissions form.

Details of how to make either the £6 or £25 payment are also included on the above sheet.

How to Ace Your Everything Theatre Q&A

We want to help you shine! A great interview doesn’t just sell tickets; it tells a story. Use these tips to make your responses as engaging as your show.

1. Quality Over Quantity

  • Don’t answer everything: While we provide many options, you don’t need to answer them all.
  • Choose your “Core Questions”: Consider answering both questions in Section 1, then pick possibly four further questions that you feel most passionate about from Sections 2, 3 and 4. This allows you to give deeper, more meaningful answers rather than rushing through several. Then finish it all off with a couple of the quick fire silly questions in the last section.
  • Watch the word count: Aim for a total between 600 and 1,000 words across the whole form to ensure we have enough “meat” for a full feature.

2. Show, Don’t Just Tell

  • Paint a picture: Instead of saying the show is “funny,” describe a specific moment that always gets a laugh in rehearsal.
  • Be specific with “Silly” questions: When answering Section 5, remember to tell us why you chose that specific meal, colour, or song.
  • Connect it back: Always link your answers, even the quirky ones, back to the themes or energy of your production.

3. Practical Logistics (The “Copy-Paste” Method)

  • Work offline first: Use the question sheet to draft your answers in a separate document.
  • Check your links: Ensure your booking link and social media handles (Insta, Bluesky, Facebook) are correct before pasting them into the Google Form.
  • Don’t send this sheet back: Once you are happy with your 600–1,000 words, copy and paste them into the official response form. We can only accept responses via the form, as this allows us to easily convert them into a publishable article.

4. The “Fringe” Factor

  • Embrace the Bare Minimum: Audiences love hearing how Fringe creators get creative with limited resources. Be honest about your DIY set solutions or unconventional props.
  • End with a Bang: If there is something unique about your journey that we didn’t ask, use the “Missing Question” at the end to leave us with a memorable final thought.

Submitting Your Answers

Ready to start? Then start copying those responses into the form via this link. We can’t wait to read about your show!
