To 'dip', 'plunge', 'absorb and involve deeply'. We can safely assume that a show describing itself as 'immersive' will involve some degree of participation. But will it be a gentle dip or a proper dunking? Marni Appleton asks what audiences can expect from 'immersive'.

Whilst visually stimulating, this play lacks a coherent storyline and is more fun for the performers than for their audience.
