The Collective Project, Camden People’s Theatre – Review

Andrew Curtis, Will Howells, Mike Carter, Joseph Lidster, Guleraana Mir, Jo Pockett, Polly Churchill and Kate Webster Directed by Neil Sheppeck, Chris Lawson, Gavin Dent, Richard Jacques, Saraha Ford, Madelaine Moore, Bryony Thomas and Laura Kim ★★★ Pros: Every short play was witty and had moments of light and dark. Nineties Woman, Camden People’s Theatre – Review

Written and performed by Rosie Wilby ★★★ Pros: A charming show presenting the soft face of feminism. Cons: It was very light and gentle. It felt as though it could have been more penetrating with more social context. Our Verdict: Imagine Tim Burton directing an episode of Emmerdale whilst on an acid trip. Just go along with an open mind and let Dirty Market create their wonderful havoc.  Credit: Jemima Yong This Dirty Market production is in association with Camden ...

Part of the Camden Fringe 2013Devised by Intuitive Creatures★★★ Pros: Completely wacky and light-hearted with a healthy dose of eccentric, clever humour. Cons: A weak narrative – scenes were not cohesive enough to accommodate a comprehensive, full length piece of theatre. Our Verdict: Interesting and funny stand-alone vignettes that don’t quite fit together nicely enough to create a strong story, absurd or otherwise. Courtesy of Intuitive Creatures A jumbled mix of vignettes is the creation of the Intuitive Creatures, an international theatre company ...

Camden Fringe Audience Feedback: Heads Bodies Legs

Average Audience Rating: ★★★★★ 6th-25th August at The Camden People’s Theatre Book tickets for Camden Anonymous – ★★★★★ “I loved this play. It was rich on so many levels – a brilliant script with some incredibly funny lines that have stayed with me (don’t want to give spoilers), but also some really powerful physical theatre combine to make something very special.  The subject matter ‘ An absurd comic thriller set in a sinister private hospital’ holds a timely resonance with ...
