“Well worth it for an understanding of the world of a paramedic from both sides of the job – domestic and professional. There is also humour intermingled with sadness.”
Richard Beach, Hertfordshire – ★★★★★
“Not just great subject matter (the work & mind of a London paramedic) but treated with sensitivity, power, humour and made accessible to the audience. Cleverly written, accomplished performances and very thoughfully put together. I defy anyone to regret going to see this.”

“Been reading the blog which inspired this play for years. The blog sometimes makes you laugh and sometimes makes you think – and the play captures this mood perfectly. Great acting and the interactive element works really well. Really good.”

“The idea of treating insomnia under stress as a subject for a play is very interesting and this was well actualized. Also, giving credit to paramedics is very worthwhile and illustrating their emotional responses.”
Amanda Bookatz, Borehamwood – ★★★★★
“Just wanted to say a huge “well done” – the play was incredible, thought provoking and challenging and so well presented. it felt very personal, but seemed to appeal to everyone in the audience.”
Denise Connick, London – ★★★★
“A really well acted, well written short play. Gave much food for thought as well as confirming views and feelings already held. As a fellow insomniac, it was clear this play was written with great insight and the concept of interaction with the audience created an authentic piece. Perfect setting in a small theatre.”
Damian Schogger, Hertfordshire – ★★★★★
“As someone who rarely goes to the theatre, I thoroughly enjoyed this production. The writing, acting and creative direction and execution were all fantastic, and provided a real insight into the issues of insomnia and the ever-challenging world of being a paramedic. It would be a travesty if this play was not given the opportunity to play to more audiences in the future.”
Kristina V, London – ★★★★

“Really good play! Funny and touching, but most importantly, it speaks of real experiences, real people with their issues, pains, and joys of life… Many many thanks to the playwrights and the actors… All did a fantastic job! Was laughing and crying of my heart…”
R Caroline, Essex – ★★★★★

“Brilliantly done!”
Rene Hellemons, London – ★★★★★
“Great show in a nice cozy theatre, so you really feel you’re in the middle of the story! Especially during the interactive moments in the play between the audience and the actors.

The story is serious and touches on some issues we have in todays society, but combined with some very funny and humerous moments. Witch gives a very nice balance.

Would love to see more of this group!”

“So pleased to have an insight into the harrowing and immensely important work of a paramedic. Very moving and well-acted. I do hope this will not be a one-off play based on the paramedic’s blog.”

  1. Really enjoyed this one act play. Well acted, interestingly staged and very well written, with crossing dialogue, improvisation and music all adding to the production. It also works as a straight view into the world of the paramedics, who are so much more than how most people see them. They’re first at a scene and dealing with all kinds of difficulties, not just medical.
    Unsung heroes too often.

  2. I thought this was a great play, entertaining and thought provoking, with moments of real drama interspersed with lighter scenes – a lot of humanity. Would definitely recommend seeing it!

  3. A play that covers a lot of thought-provoking ground, without ever making its audience feel that it is being overwhelmed by the action. There are times when it comes close to doing that, but (especially in scenes where the characters have concurrent monologues), Rachel Creeger demonstrates that she knows exactly how far she can push her viewing public. This skill is complemented by very imaginative use of the space available – not just the stage. Definitely one to see.
