Going Viral was performed as part of Bare Essentials, a series of performances featuring new work from emerging and established international writers to showcase theatre at its most elemental.

CAST AND CREATIVE TEAM

Encompass Productions are a London-based theatre and production company. They create bold work that explores the psychological and emotional, telling stories through cinematic, heightened reality to challenge, move and entertain.

Michaela Frances Neal is a Reading-based director and producer who graduated with an English Literature degree from the University of Southampton. She is a founder and artistic director of Colour of Fruit Productions whose recent work includes Incident at the Border at South Street Arts Centre in Reading and Eigengrau by Penelope Skinner (South Street Arts Centre), which she directed and produced. This sold-out production was revived at Reading Fringe Festival. Michaela has worked as an assistant director with FreeRange Productions on their original production of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). She would later produce the innovative rap retelling The Stories of Shakey P by Charlie Dupré (Emporium Theatre). She is a regular director for popular new writing showcase Bare Essentials (Encompass Productions), directing Build A Wall by Cary Pepper, Sniper by John Foster and Going Viral by Brandon Crose.

Laurie Harrington is a Nottingham-born actor based in London. A graduate of East 15 Acting School, she is a highly accomplished comedic actor, receiving acclaim from several publications across various productions. Recent credits include Science Experiment for FOH Theatre Company, Robinson Crueso for Bigfoot Arts Education, Archipelago for 20:20 Vision Camden People’s Theatre, The Art of Tea and Going Viral for Encompass Productions’ Bare Essentials, Hitchcock Homage for Stage Theatre Company and The Three Rings of The Cirque Tsuki for Immercity.

Steven Mortimer is a London-based actor with over 15 years of experience in theatre, film, T.I.E and workshop facilitation. He was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Bodies at the 7th World Independent Film Awards in 2013. Recent credits include The Performance Lab: Eyes for Goldsmiths University, Depriviction for MET Film School, Build A Wall for Encompass Productions’ Bare Essentials, Platform – The Special Ones for Bread and Roses Theatre and Let’s Play Deception for Ghost Dog Productions. He can soon be on screen starring as Fredrick Manning in Murder Maps, a historic documentary series produced for the Yesterday television channel. Steven is also the artistic director of Spare Parts Theatre Company who aim to raise awareness of transplant issues through performance.

Marcella Carelli is a London-based actor. Since graduating from KSA Performing Arts in 2013 she has worked extensively in theatre, television and commercials. She has thoroughly enjoyed being an associate artist of Encompass Productions since performing in Life In A Sketchbook nearly two years ago. Recent credits include The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland for Gary Starr productions, The Maltese Walter for Encompass Productions’ Bare Essentials and Bearskin for Arcane Productions. She can be seen on screen later this year in Murder Maps as Maud Chapman for the channel Yesterday.
